Roo turns airport into hopper's crossing

Travellers were greeted with a surprise this morning when a kangaroo was spotted in a car park at Melbourne Airport.

The kangaroo was safely removed from the fifth floor of the airport's long-term car park.

Love the headline, always good to see a sub-editor with a sense of humour.

I can only imagine what foreign tourists would think if they saw this.

However spending way to many years growing up there, I thought it was hilarious

It was potentially a sad story (one of them at least) - the story went that because the Roo had been hopping on concrete and their claws are not made for that the claws were heavily worn and bleeding - there was the potential for the Roo to have to be euthanized

Be thankful it was the Qantas mascot on the loose, and not Tiger.
