Hi, I recently purchased online (USA) a Rimowa Salsa Deluxe Hybrid Cabin Multiwheel. I opened the box and gasped when I realised how large it is.

Bag measurements are 21.9" x 17.3" x 11" (55.6 x 43.9 x 27.9cm)

Does anyone have one of these and do the have issues travelling domestically within Australia or internationally? Admittedly almost all my flights internationally are J or F

I don't think it would be an issue travelling internationally but am concerned about it fitting in say a 737 overhead locker. Appreciate your feedback :)

As a guide QF website says:
Domestic: 48x34x23 cm or 19x13x9 inches. Total 105 cm (41 inches)
International: 56x36x23 cm or 22x14x9 inches. Total 115 cm (45 inches)

You appear to well out in both cases....what do you think your outcome will be ? :)

One of my Victorinox cases was marketed as "business class carry-on" by the sales reps. I doubt they've ever flown it as they would realise the size limits are the same (for practically every airline I've flown, anyway).

It struggles on some overhead lockers if I do decide to carry it, and yours seems even bigger. I'd try to refund it as not for for purpose.

On a completely separate note. and to satisfy my curiosity, how much does the case weigh?

May I ask which website did you use to buy the Rimowa case? and was the sent address in Australia? I can't seem to get anyone to mail Rimowa to Australia anymore ever since that so called Rimowa store opened in Sydney, they jack the price up so much there that its not worth it! I blame the greedy guys at Hunt Leather! Haha

I'm interested in either a Salsa Deluxe or Limbo carry on.

Still I'm sure it looks good............... even though it fails big time from a practical viewpoint. ;)

If you're traveling with a US carrier this bag is woefully undersize.

Interestingly enough, I saw somebody with this exact bag from the USA (we were on a train in China heading towards HK) and he says he travels everywhere with it as a carry-on and has never had any issues. So go figure. Rimowa store in Sydney also says people who buy this size bag travel J and F and don't have issues.
