REX Carry On Board v Safe Hand Baggae

Hi,

I am travelling to Broken Hill from Sydney next week and travelling on ReX for the first time. I know my Virgin Gold status will be worthless.

I have a CPAP machine (which I wont need to use on board), but I always carry it on board to protect it. I will also have my roll on with my computer, clothes for overnight, files etc.

With the VA and QF props I can usually leave the roll on (minus computer) at the back of the plane to be put in the hold on departure and then pick up on the tarmac on arrival.

Is this possible with Rex or do I have to pay $50 for Safe Hand Baggage?Safe Hand Baggage : What is Safe Hand Baggage?
