Hey guys,

I'm looking at going to Manila in a couple of months on a Jetstar flight (blergh) and I figured instead of flying J* Mel-MNL that I'd be more comfortable on VA and taking advantage of the Rewards/SC offer (using the old A38) even if it is a bit of a complex itinerary at least I'll be watered and fed and have lots of legroom and lounge access up until Darwin, then suffer the DRW-MNL leg sleeping off a day of wine and cheese plates :p

I've not been to Darwin before so my question is this - will a 12:35am Darwin arrival (plus any delays from my 3 flights) leave me enough time to collect baggage, make my way to J* desk and checkin/bag drop for a 3:15am flight? Or would I be safer with less SCs and a slightly simpler 2 flight itinerary (maybe A47)?

I'd say you would be fine! Darwin is all one terminal, so after arriving, you can head straight to the JQ check-in. Most pax are connecting from the East, so the lines are not usually too bad.
