Restless leg syndrome

Make sure that you take no alcohol (or else take a huge amount: effect is dose dependent). Dopaminergic agents may help (but you would need to see your doctor to get these). Some find cold temperature/exercise/constant pressure/movement may work and there are many ways to produce such sensations. Would need more specific information about the intensity, duration, precipitating and relieving factors (in the past), other medical issues in order to offer more precise advice. By the way I am not a medical pracitioner, just a research scientist with RLS as an interest.

Thank you for your reply, I am looking forward immensely to any help. I have been diagnosed by a sleep doctor as having severe Restless legs. I take 0.25mg Sifrol tablets, varying the dose between 1 1/2 to 2 tablets daily,( I am aware that I can take up to 3 tabs daily) this has improved the sleeping situation to a good extent. I have taken Magnesium for years and have just recently switched to Bioceuticals Ultra Muscleze powder, doesn't seem to have made any difference.
I cannot sit on the lounge, in a car, on a plane, at the computer etc.. for even half an hour without my body(not just legs) constantly moving. I also have been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and I ache constantly. I know I sound like a hypochondriac/malingerer, but I swear I am not, we have booked a trip to Europe from Perth, Australia in June, the longest leg is 13 hours and I am desperate for help.( Do not fancy being drunk for the whole trip!)

I would suggest you are on the right track! Keep consulting your doctor

Benzodiapepines and low doses of analgesics (paracetamol and codeine)
may help in addition to your treatment. This is what i take sometimes.
Consult your doctor before you go and have a trial run of the meds before you get on a plane, not the time to find out your allergic, make you sick etc.

Good luck.
