Registration woes for this site

Dear admins,

I just tried for 3 days unsuccessfully to register a new account, and was getting a 'we don't accept new accounts from spammers, contact us if you think this is in error' vBulletin message.

I tried the contact us link couple of days a couple of days ago and left a message for help, but I'm not sure if it works (or perhaps it was just ignored/whatever).

After much research on the net, I simply tried a longer username than the one I was trying to use and I was able to successfully register.

I humbly suggest that this requirement be listed somewhere on the registration page (perhaps next to username) so save others the sheer frustration that I went through.

I know there are some 3 character names on the forum. Were you trying fewer than that?

Hi Somaho,

I received one email from you on Wednesday evening to which I responded. You have actually done what I suggested which was to use a different type of username. Thanks for the registration suggestion which we will look at for the future.

If you wish to change your current username then please send me a PM and I will organise it for you. If you have any other issues then please contact any of the mods, admin or myself.
