Did a google search of this forum and can't come up with much. Anyone know what happens to your HH points when you cancel either a P+P or straight rewards booking? Assuming of course that one cancels before the properties cut-off time for such things?

What I'm reading on the Hilton site doesn't specifically address the points part of a payment/deposit but if its handled the same as a CC or cash guarantee then the case appears to be for full refund. Before I ring HH for clarification does anyone have direct experience with this?

Full refund, practically instant, can rebook quickly.

Not sure how long the $ takes to come back though...

Cheers!

Trying to work through ridiculously high Conrad Hong Kong pricing and saw a P+P opportunity ... however, haven't booked anything else so need flexibility. P+P presents as flexible, much like standard rack rate, but I wanted to be sure, thanks for your response.

Only caveat is if their site isn't working. Which frequently occurs. Damn that site...

You only pay the dollars on check-out, so a refund is not necessary if you cancel. You are correct in stating that the points refund is instant.
