For at least the last 15 years, I've played NRL SuperCoach with a bunch of current and ex-work colleagues along with some of their mates, to varying levels of success. We all throw $50 in at the start of the season and define some prizes along the way to keep it interesting (e.g. wooden spoon, grand final winner, grand final runner-up, highest score in any given round of the season et al). That brings me to LTIL...

Enjoyed a cracker of a round 10 on the weekend, thanks in no small part to (finally) captaining the correct player in my squad (thank you Ryan Papenhuyzen and your NRL points record-breaking game!!). So not only did I easily get the highest score for Round 10 (which happens to earn me a guaranteed $75 as it's one of our defined comp prizes), but I've also taken the lead in the prize for the highest score in any given round (which would earn me another $75). Still early days, but past experience tells me that the stars and planets need to align just right to get anywhere near the sort of score my team racked up over the weekend.

So, 10 weeks in and I've made a guaranteed $25 profit for the season, with a potential $100 guaranteed profit in the making. And there are still more prizes yet to win!
