Hello,

Wondering if anyone has been able to use qantas club invites to get into the reef lounge at cairns international? I think it will be a no, but the agreement they have with Jetstar buisness makes me think possibly.

Cheers

Technically it's not a qantas club. I haven't tried using the passes there. I guess you can only try. It might work, but it's likely to be one of the cases where jetstar is a completely separate airline.

It is highly unlikely to work it is not a Qantas Club and the staff are very experienced at saying no and dealing with disgruntled QANTAS club members.

I believe it's a no as it's a CX associated lounge.

They only allow JQ pax in that have the Business Max bundle too, not just the Business ticket. You need the most expensive one, AFAIK.

I think it still has a (last century style) Qantas feel to it.

We're coming in on JQ15 from MEL then outbound to Japan soon, and my companion is SG.

As they are Qantas Gold traveling on Jetstar - does that allow us Reef Lounge access ?

Any recent info on the Cairns Reef Lounge access is very sketchy.

This 2011 review says no.

But I assume we can walk over to the QP at the Cairns domestic ?

I'd say the answer is pretty much no. But you never know your luck. Not flying business I assume.

How long is the transit. Do you really wish to exit immigration and then re-enter immigration just for a lounge?

I like the blue triangle, reminds me of a red triangle :p

It used to be a qantas club many years ago!

The lounge is terrible don't bother unless you need free wifi. Ive been twice this year and on both occasions I've entered purely to give them a donation from priority pass so they can make a few extra bucks for an upgrade.

Thanks all , good tips.

We have 3hr stopover in Cairns. Might just go sit outside and warm up. My blood hasn't been above 12degrees for 5 months in Melbourne :)
