if we're talking about the bed, for someone tall.... take your pick... OZ, LH, JL, NH, CX, UA, EY etc etc

In terms of service... the top 5 or 6 or 7 are all fairly much neck and neck, so if the bed makes a difference, Sq could easily be down the list. Even if you take the bed out, personal preferences could put Sq out of the top five.
WOW - I did not even see trippin_the_rift's lips move! :D ;)

Nah I'm only joshing with you MEL - that was my query really - there is that many F products on offer with longer beds? I'm only 183 so never a prob with length for me but I fully understand how uncomfortable - no nigh on impossible to sleep in - beds where you cannot totally stretch out. I don't expect exact measurements but how much longer these you've listed? 10cm, 20cm, 30cm?

CX, EK, JL, TG, QF ... Even BA has a better bed. These are only the ones in F I've tried
EK? OMG - cannot agree on that - flew EK FRA-DXB-MEL in sep in F and 2 cracks at the bed - terrible IMHO

TG? On 380? If yes I agree - great bed - I also had 350 or something on BKK-ZRH - shocking - shocking F product overall - 380 SENSATIONAL - 2nd best I have had behind SQ R.

Never tried CX or JL - only ever had QF F once and it was so underwhelming as an F exp - I actually did a report on it - we are booked again on QF F Sep/Oct next year MEL-LAX-MEL so more than happy try again.

According to seat guru, SQ's 77W have a seat pitch in F of 71 inches (and as seats are full forward, not herringbone, that's the actual seat pitch). Granted, the 'bed length' is listed as longer, but that requires you to lie on the diagonal.

Most F classes have a forward pitch of at least 79', with 80' or so standard. So roughly 20-25cm more.

just transferred the miles over. cant wait for them to land in the KF account. Time to work out which cards to use from here. Did anyone receive compensation for this ordeal. I do not know wether to bother the poor souls in the call centre about it

I thought the bed on the A380 in Suites on SQ was fantastic. And more space to move than the EK F Suite which is more closed in. YMMV.

When complaints person called me and wanted to close the case I said " No not yet, I would like some points as compensation for my stress & time" he said no problem, I'll give you 10k (that was the max he said he could apply) I said Ok but that will x 2 as I have 2 accounts. He agreed :)

Friend and I loved our EK F and found the bed more comfortable the SQ R - we are both just over 5' , maybe makes a difference. I agree on QF F and I loved TG F 380 .

I did CX F this week too - one of the nicest F beds I've had the pleasure of sleeping in. Lovely flight one of my favourite to date!
QF F is low on my list only because of the sash and rotating seat. I like being able to nod off slowly and not having to stand up or think about the recline into a bed.

So the general consensus is only redeem SQ miles for Suites? Are the beds longer than F?

No I think it's only you and Sleeping Beauty (A.K.A. MEL-Traveller) who think SQ F too short - I am on SQ218 at 01:05 in morn - then 802 R SIN-PEK at 08:45 in morn. Given so little F ex Oz to Asia very few choices - and I could never force myself to actually shell out $s for a flt so SQ it is - but you guys are on the right track - avoid SQ F at all costs!

Points transferred to a mix of SQ and VA. looking forward to my suite experience in a year or two ðŸ

Unfortunately, CX don't seem to fly an F cabin from HKG to Australia any more, as much as I wish they could.

SQ F is still pretty good! The 'Suites' are 81' long.

But it depends where you're going - there may be other options that are just as good. For example flying to PVG/PEK... Air China will give you an 80' long, very comfortable bed in business class. Non-stop. With service that's perfectly adequate. There is little reason to take SQ via SIN with many hours of extra flying, a break in the middle of your sleeping cycle due to short sectors, and everything to lose in terms of transfers and delays.

Relieved that this was resolved as my ever patient family are using the terrible Citibank online service on my recommendation! will be organising a transfer ASAP, not sure if we will switch to a different VISA as well. Thanks to all who organised and contributed to this!!
