I'm looking for fares HKG-CPH and know it is possible to do HKG-DOH-CPH on QR, and possibly do the HKG-DOH leg on CX.

QF engine is offering me EK/QF/BA HKG-DXB-LHR-CPH or CX/QF/BA doing the same, but pricing at 141,000 QFF. Is this correct? It seems to not be giving me the connections for free.

as I understand it (I'm not an expert)... connections are 'free' provided you stay within the overall mileage band/award zone for the two cities. if you start going outside the band, you'll be charged the higher amount.

are you within the total mileage band for HKG-CPH?

You might have to call to get QR awards. Also worth noting that the CX/QF/BA option would be eligible for a oneworld award due to the 3 Oneworld airlines. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Thanks all. So the backtracking from LHR could push me outside the limits? I'll have to go look those up.
