Hi. I'm a newcomer - just found your site.
I am trying to organise a weekend in Tassie using points. The flights are okay - plenty available but I was trying to work out how to use points for a hotel stay in Hobart. Can't find any info on hotels offering stays for points on either the QFF site or the True Awards page on the CBA site. I know they usually list such things in their magazine but that usually gets consigned to the recycle bin. Is there a website with such info? And if not, why not?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Lindsay.
The site says to reserve your room in the hotel you want and then get a certificate. If the hotel has no award rooms available do they tell you on reserving or does that go back to QFF?
Also do the same number of points apply regardeless of room? (I wish!) For example it says 25 000 pts per night at Rydges - I'm guessing you can only get a standard room at any hotel for these pts.

Yes, they'll tell you if there is availability - it's just like flight rewards (they allocate a certain number each night for point redemptions and will only give more within the last few days if they don't think they'll be able to sell the rooms).

They might have specials (ie. 25K std room, 40K deluxe), but expect the basic room. If you are in the the hotel chain Freq Guest program with status, and there is availability, you might be able to smile sweetly on the day and get upgraded without using the extra points. Good luck :D

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
