I haven't bought any of these products but since I was in Woolies today thought I'd try finding them. Could not find anything. Either Lane Cove has none or I am just blind.

Generally the new product is at the front if non perishable. The cool/frozen products in their respective aisles.

Oh geez I just tried the chilli con carne. Looks like I will be buying all I can tomorrow.

I'm actually sitting here watching the program. (I'm keen to see what I will be buying next week ;) ) The freezer is full of samosa's, chilli con carne and a couple of pizza bases. Have all the samosas in plastic rather than the boxes but still too full. :( good thing there are parties coming up. :) also happy with how quickly these points are posting. :)

Would not be surprised to see them for $9 tomorrow.

There's enough sauces in the market I would have thought. And really it's about how the ribs are cooked. I use a combo of three different sauces in mine.

For me it's getting to the stage where this timed commercial kitchen thing doesn't make sense. I get that it's a competition, but you lose real contenders in the current format. Some dishes can be prepared easily in a time limit they set, others are right on the line.

I do love it when a contestant sticks to their guns though and says their product was exactly what they wanted it to be after the first shot in the commercial kitchen, when the judges all say completely different. In this episode it was the pie having too much tomato sauce, and a previous one included a dish which contained too much chilli to the point it made one if the judges cry from the heat.

Initially I was interested in the pies, just as a comparison to NPPP's. Since they were out easily, the meatballs made sense to me, though figured Woolworths would choose the Rude Boy sauce as it can be applied to a few products that they sell.

Christina seemed to really not connect with anyone she quizzed in the supermarket. In fact she seemed to alienate people. Yikes! On the other hand, Bobby had it all together.

So I wasn't surprised with the winner, but it's not really my sort of product. I don't eat ribs.

I'll probably pick some up this afternoon and baste some sausages tonight (I don't eat ribs)!

You have already mentioned the ribs part, the box does say wicked with port or beef ribs, chicken wings and fish.

LOL...just watching and 'flinching' at the stereotype/target marketing of this weeks 'offerings' ... a few observations...shame the bolognaise pie didnt work out..maybe because there are SO many variations on the 'pie' out there at the moment!!... you can stick anything into a pastry case and call it a pie nowadays!!!! ...also apparently...'coughs' wont sell 'nonnas' meatballs!! lol.. nonna would be turning in her grave!!!! and lastly... a 'sauce' that needs to be added to an already purchased meat/fish/veg product, should not be placed in the same catagory as products that are basically 'ready to eat'... the whole series is a just another example of a 'reality show' that isnt 'reality' at all !! oh and btw ...ALL of my post is meant to be taken 'with a grain of salt' ..

You might be in luck, its a sauce only product at $4.99.

Thanks - that is better!

Ditto :(

Chicken wings it is.... next party will be Samosa's, Pizza and Marinated Chicken wings. Wonder if I could go for the most points earned at a Woolworths EDR catered party?

Had Ribs for lunch (thanks to them being on clearance for $3 when I walked through woolies this morning), they are OK but did not get a chance to cook them the way they should be cooked. Probably good value at half price.

With or without the sauce, was it a good flavour etc?

With the sauce, but I did not follow the instructions owing to the limited cooking facilities so probably did not do it justice.
