Recipe to Riches

No calories if you eat them standing up or the bickies are broken ;) ( that's my excuse and I am sticking to it !)

Standing up? Lordy, that's what I'm doing wrong.

Also, my tip of the day is that the alcohol in champagne is negated if there is a strawberry in/on the flute.

This is the only "R 2 R " product I have bought - and after trying this I wouldn't buy another one.

What I would say is that you've missed out, there have been plenty of better recipes and unfortunately you managed to buy in just at the wrong time :p

It was easily the worst product.

We tried the jangles last night. Not bad at all.

I just picked up a carton and hope to get some more tomorrow, and Monday, and perhaps even Tuesday before they're gone for good. Running out of freezer space.

Ok I tried the frozen pizza base tonight. Absolutely pathetic. I tried last night and left the dough out to thaw, it exploded sending dough everywhere and scared the bejesus out of the cat.

So today I took it out of the wrapper and let it thaw. One thawed I tried to roll it flat but it kept getting holes in it. Eventually I got it spread out enough to put on the sauce and toppings on it. Put it in the oven and cooked it until done. Taste of dough was bland and heavy and way too much work involved.

Much easier to get a pre-formed base and put my toppings on it.

Have to agree with markis10, had no issues with the pizzas and I'm pretty hopeless in the kitchen. Perhaps you're such a good cook yourself that you didn't follow their instructions to the letter, such as the thawing time of 3-4 hours I believe (not overnight).

Thanks, I could not find the original email and thought we must be getting close.

I wonder if we have a winner??

I some Jangles for free today but I don't think I'll be getting the bonus points. My Woolworths was clearing some of the stock and had the pizza bases and the jangles in a freezer display side by side. The pizza bases were half price and the ticket in front of the Jangles was $2.99. I figured that 15 meatballs were worth the price so I took one box. I wouldn't eat them but I'm pretty sure my partner would enjoy something different for a change. They scanned at the register at $6.99 which I picked up after scanning the right EDR card but before completing the transaction. If I'd played it a bit differently, I would have got the Jangles for free and got the bonus points but I'm happy with what I got. Apparently the wrong ticket was in front of the Jangles. A staff member brought the ticket to show me but I didn't get a chance to read it properly to see which product was supposed to be on display. I'm not sure I was entitled to the free product, although I've gotten free products like this before due to what I call "deceptive advertising/product placement"

What a disappointment with the winner :( I think I will stick with the Cadbury version of it, especially for the price.

Extremely disappointed with the winner, the layout was awful again, but do question how they could give the Jangles the same amount of time as the others, considering they could still have been selling them today. Think that's a bit dodgy.

My guess is they chose ChoCorn because when he originally presented his idea he mentioned he had many flavours but the box only had 3. This way, there's plenty of chance to expand the product line. I know this isn't how it was meant to be judged, but I don't think it was fairly judged.

At least I can collect points on discounted items until the 19th :D

Does that mean the chocolate popcorn won? I've never actually watched an episode of the show. I just followed the thread to see what interest and value the bonus point offers held to other members. The only time I ended up with a promotion product was the Jangles I got for free. When I spoke to one of the staff members today at Woolworths, they thought the popcorn was going to win. Apparently their stock sold within 3-4 days of going on sale, much quicker than everything else in the competition.

Well my husband was pleased as he likes popcorn. As I'm the buyer in the house he may not get to try it.

I thought the format of the show was dreadful. Way to build up people then say sorry, neither of you are in the final 3.

Croquettes ahead of the meatballs? I'm thinking Facebook marketing campaign on that one.

Interesting to follow this thread as well. Sounds like too much of a midday soap opera to me and personally I could not care less about the bonus points on offer either.

I have an unopened box of the Choc corn. The Cadbury's version is delicious and cheaper so I hope it's good.

Oh JohnK. It's just a bit of a fluff thread. :)

As the offer period is till the 19th, I've stocked up yet again with samosas for $2.99 and meatballs for $3.49, total spend about $30 and 500 more points. Running out of freezer space fast though!

The rib sauce is down to $2, no feeder required.
