Hi all,

I've got a quick question around flexi-saver tickets and rebooking options.

Normally for work I'd fly on fully flexible tickets, but the last few weeks I've been trying to save some money by getting flexi-saver where possible. And then, wouldn't you know it, at 5:20pm on Friday, there's an announcement that the project I've been working on has a temporary pause.

So, I've have flexi-saver tickets for next week. The delay might be one week, or two, or possibly three (unlikely though).

If I rebook my flights from next week (24th July), to the week after (31st July), and then the delay ends up being two weeks, can I rebook again (assuming I meet the other conditions - namely equal/higher value fare etc)? Or can I only rebook once?

And if I'm forced to upgrade to fully-flexible tickets, can I just cancel them and get a full refund - and then book new flights when I know when I'm going to be flying? (or does the system know about the fact I originally bought flexi-saver?)

Serves me right for trying to save the company some money :(

Flexi savers can be rebooked to your hearts content but they are non-refundable. If you upgrade to a H/Y/D/J, the non-refundable amount will remain non-refundable

Absolutely true, but they can also be cancelled (before departure) and the credit held for use towards an equal or higher fare on the Qantas network within 12months of the original ticket issue date. (i.e you don't have to use them on your originally scheduled routing).

As Dave posted. Flexi is as flexi does; just don't plan on rebooking a "flexi-Saver" ticket on 2 hours notice to a flight at 4pm on a Friday afternoon!

You have a year to fly them!
