The queue's were massive and most people were getting the 5th degree on every part of their carry on.

The good part of it was there no problem getting room for carryon luggage.

We were told we could carry almost nothing on, unless it was small or in a plastic bag. I can't remember whether we were allowed a book or not. Most people didn't complain, but then some did. And 2 security screenings and a pat-down.

It was also sad being in the AA lounge in LHR too - some very frightened people hoping to get home.

Meantime, we flew home to find AN was no more - another story!
