Mystery rat pack plagues Qantas
Well, I'm torn - anything that accelerates the departure of the 767s from the fleet is to my mind a good thing (notwithstanding the hope that their replacement is a good, modern aircraft - whatever that may be); but this surely couldn't have been pleasant for anyone involved.
Seems like one way to avoid this would be to get some snakes on that *********ing plane (Boom tish!)
QANTAS has been forced to ground one of its passenger jets after a pack of rats was discovered on board. Flight attendants found five rats in the cabin of a Boeing 767 aircraft due to leave Sydney on Tuesday afternoon during a safety and security inspection. The rodents were discovered in emergency medical equipment carried on the aircraft, just 10 minutes before passengers were due to board. Qantas was unsure last night how the rats got onto the passenger jet.
The airline subsequently grounded the Boeing 767 at a Sydney Airport hangar while staff killed the rats and searched the cabin to ensure no more were on board. The Qantas passengers who were bound for Brisbane on the 5pm flight from Sydney were transferred to another aircraft.
