Malaysia Airlines is doing an amazing deal, where for less than A$1500 you are flying one way from Fukuoka to Kuala Lumpur, which normally would cost double the price.
What's more crazy is it only costs $200 more than Economy.
This is a new direct service commencing 2 September 2026, operated by a B737-8 with recliners in J, which might explain the price differential to both Y pricing and previous prices which presumably required a connection.
Not sure which lounge MH will use in cough, but if it's Lounge Fukuoka (also a Priority Pass lounge and used by CX) I found it very pleasant when I visited in April 2025 shortly after it was renovated. (Some of the pre-renovation reviews were a bit average!)
