Bit of a bugger, though I’m sure he’ll still be flying and meeting people, just in a different role.

So, what happened? Did he sell Flyertalk to another business?

Quite some time ago (maybe a year or two - even longer?) I think. AFAIK he has remained in some sort of consulting role ever since.

March 07, he has been grandfathering it ever since. I think the pudding guy gave him a free trip to Aruba as thanks for the tips and hard work :)

It is kind of sad really and I'm sorry to see him go.

A small group of us had drinks with Randy at Young & Jacksons in Melbourne a few years ago. Randy proved to everyone present that he is a true and extremely unassuming gentleman.

Unless my memory is failing those present were Randy Peterson, serfty, Mrs serfty, Mwenenzi, tuapekastar, Mrs straitman and myself and Randy bought ALL the drinks.
