Quick question about Krisflyer expiry

Hi guys,

I have about 200k Krisflyer points expiring in April 2023.
Do the points expire at the month ?
(I hope so anyway, as i am planning to book a flight in early 2024)

I believe they usually expire on the last day of the month. So, make sure you book before 30 April 2023. (You can book travel up to 355 days in advance, but if you cancel the award flight after the miles would have expired, you won't get them back.)

I'm not 100% sure but I think date changes are OK as long as you're still travelling within 12 months of the original ticket issue date. Note that no changes are possible once you've flown the first leg.

I just got my Krisflyer DEC statement. I have a swag of points set to expire in APR 2023, but at the bottom of the statement it says that:

"Krisflyer miles expiring between january and june 2023 will be automatically extended for a final 6 months, at the end of each month."

I'm reading that to mean that I should have until end of OCT 2023 to spend the points - which is great news as I was facing having to make a dummy booking which I'd move (at a $ cost) later in the year.

I received that too... I'd just paid to extend for 6 months. Does anyone know if you can reverse the extension?

I can confirm yes, at least they were when I did exactly this a few years ago!
