Note: This is a similar question from a previous thread - made it's own thread since people may not have noticed it.
I flew from CDG - AUH on EY, then 3 days later flew AUH - SYD on VA. It was booked as a return flight with a stopover. After arriving in SYD I also took two domestic flights that day.
The EY sector took about a week to post, while the AUH - SYD, and the domestic flights took only 1 day to post. Consequently, my later flights pushed me into gold, and my review date is set for the 18th Jan. Since I took my EY flight before the 18th of Jan, it does not count to gold review.
I was nearly gold prior to all these flights, and the EY flight should have tipped me into gold. Had it posted promptly, my review date would have been a few days earlier and the SC's from the flights I took on VA (~140) could have counted to me re-qualifying gold.
So now I have about 650 SC's ... but still need 400 SC's to maintain gold, effectively wasting 150 SC's. Based on my travel plans, platinum will be a struggle to reach with the rolling status credits as huge chunks are expiring soon. 250 SC's rather than 400 SC's over one year is much more manageable for my position and I'll definately aim for requalification if that is the case.
Do you think it's reasonable/possible to call them up again to see if they can push my review date back such that my later flights count to me re-qualifying?
I called up velocity to query, and they said all earnings are based on activity date and tried to explain how rolling SC's worked. I don't think they quite understood what I was tying to ask...
