Hi all,

I apologise if this has been covered but I have a had a poke around here and can't seem to find any concrete information.

I am travelling Qantas this tuesday 30th April in Business class from Melbourne to Auckland, returning Friday 3rd May also flying Business class on Qantas.

What lounges at both MEL and AKL can I use?

I have used QF Intl business lounge in Melbourne and it sucks, I've read that I can use the Emirates lounge if I am flying QF Business class, is this true?
Also, is the same true for the return leg from Auckland? What lounges can I use there?
I booked on qantas website.

Many Thanks :)

Definitely go for the EK lounge in both MEL and AKL!

Yes EK = Emirates. You shouldn't have any issues...

You can use both QF and EK lounge at MEL and AKL

EK lounge MEL hours are 0400-0600hrs and 1530-2200hrs

EK lounge AKL hours are 1630-2030 hrs

Yes better in AKL. Not sure about MEL. Have not done EK J lounge in MEL.

In any case EK MEL lounge will be closed when you get there

Moot point, as it will be closed. But the EK lounge has better food (you can easily have a four course meal in the EK lounge), champagne, better seats and tarmac views. I’d consider it just a step down from QF’s F lounge - but a flight of steps up from the QF J dungeon at MEL. ( well actually it’s physically 2 flights of steps up :-) )
