Question re silver status and anniversary date

Just a quick question.

My QFF anniversary is 31 October.

I'm bronze status about to achieve Silver around 10 August.

I know once I achieve silver status, I get the priviledges prior to the anniversary date and for the next year., however...

What happens to the status credits I achieve under silver status FROM 10 august until my anniversary date of 31 October. Do I loose them or as I've achieved silver do they carry over to count towards the next year in which I must accumulate 300 status point to retain silver.

I've got a few more flights still to book between attaining silver (10 august) and my anniversary of 31 October and if I will loose the status credits I will accumulate for those flights I will try to put off taking those flights until my next anniversary date starts on 1 November.

Your "Yearly" SC tally will continue to accumulate until 31st October whereupon the counter will reset to 0.

It will show up on your activity as:

31 OCT 09   EXPIRED STATUS CREDITS 31OCT09    -    -    -      0     -nnn

They don't really expire, it just means your counter has been reset.

If you happen to reach 700 before November then you will be annointed SG.

As above, it resets to zero for your membership year.

If you have no prospect of achieving gold by end of membership year (31/10) then deferring travel into the next MY (1/11 on) will make it easier to achieve silver again the following membership year, plus in that MY remember you'll only need 300SCs not 350.

There's no way I'll achieve gold before my anniversary date , so I'll defer my travel till 1st November so I get sc towards keeping my silver status. Thanks for the info
