Question re QF J prices MEL to LAX and DFW

Hi all

Quick question. I am looking to book a QF multitrip in J MEL-DFW (via SYD on QF7) in late June 2015, returning LAX-MEL in late July 2015 (I have already booked myself on particular flights with points and now need to stump up some real $ to get my partner on the same flights).

The current QF sale will get me the flights I want for A$8,222. My question is whether the current sale (which has MEL-LAX return in J for A$7,466 and MEL-DFW for A$9,703) is offering the lowest prices that QF offers on those routes on sale.

Has anyone seen MEL-LAX or MEL-DFW for less than this during other (recent) QF sales?

They are pretty good fares, so I wouldn't be disappointed by securing a seat at those prices. If you can fly in out out of Dallas, then your partner will get a comp upgrade to F with the current promo. Unfortunately it doesn't work with a LAX component.

There's a sale on at the moment where for specific routes (HKG, LHR and DFW) where you can select First Class in one direction "as no additional cost".
