I have a question on booking 2 rooms in my name with Accor account. When I do the booking it allows for 2 rooms. Adult daughter travelling with us and last did this a few years ago and my recollection was that I earned points on 1 room only. Both rooms been prepaid by me in Accor sale.

If I book and pay for both rooms is anyone aware if I should get points on both rooms? Why it is important is that I am 8 nights off gold membership and if they do credit me with both rooms I am nearly there.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I got the points for 3 rooms earlier this year and the bonus points offer for each room, a heap of points that got me to gold

Feezable, thanks for that. My stay is this weekend so will post mid next week after I check what has been credited.

I tried it once for 2 rooms (the second was a colleague, non-family member) - but only received points for one room. It could be that our stays didn't align and I wasn't present when she checked in. I also didn't bother to chase as I was on my way to platinum already. But if you are present at check-in and check-out and present your credentials each time that would help.

Cheers.

Absolutely you should get points for BOTH rooms including all expenses charged to those rooms provided you stay in one of the rooms. See below from Accor T&Cs.
Note sometimes hotels will only credit points for one room so if that's the case you'll need to chase them for the balance as explained earlier in this thread.

The following expenses paid by the Member are eligible expenses:
– Expenses for Member accommodations and up to one other
room at the same hotel on the same date (for a maximum
of 2 invoiced rooms), provided the Member is staying in one
of those rooms. Note that if the Member books two rooms,
points are earned accordingly, but the number of Eligible
nights is based only on the Member’s room.

In a similar vein. If I book two rooms. Will both rooms receive my platinum benefits? Im looking at Brisbane Soffitel.

No, only one room will receive platinum benefits (officially) however sometimes individual hotels may grant some benefits (e.g. upgrades, access to the lounge) to both rooms.

In my experience - in Australia - Pullman hotels often grant benefits for both rooms. Sofitel are much stricter in this regard, and if you are after lounge access for both rooms highly unlikely at Sofitel Brisbane IMHO.

my experiences would be inline with Marco's comments, Pullman seem a lot more accommodating with multiple room bookings

Yep go to Pullman / Mercure in Brisbane if you're dead set on wanting lounge access / b/fast for 2 rooms . I managed to wangle 3 rooms in there recently and will do so again next weekend hopefully . There is of course an upgrade fee (i believe i was quoted in the region of $40 per person ) available in the Sofitel for lounge access

It's actually easy to get points for more than one room, all you need to do is on check out tell the staff to transfer all the room charges onto one room (the room that you stayed in under your name), and you will get points for all rooms that were booked, it works even when it is more than 2 rooms. Once I got points for 5 rooms:)

Seems like a grand idea but with a lot of rooms being of the pre paid variety this option would be nullified by this surely ?

Well I did not have the luck of others even though I booked and paid for both rooms on the Accor website!

Upon checking my account on the Accor website I have been credited with 2 nights and 187 points. Phoned last night but was advised to put in an email. Tried to use the on line form but that did not work and was told to use the members email address. Will post when I have a response.
