Question about Qantas loyalty bonus....

Can anybody advise for certain please whether flights with One World airlines that are marketed by Qantas, purchased thru the Qantas web site and have QF flight number count towards loyalty bonus or not? Thank you.

20.8.1 Members will earn a choice of Loyalty Bonus of either 8,000 Points or 50 Status Credits for every 500 Status Credits earned on flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number (including partner airline flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number)

I've had a bit of practice searching the T&Cs over the years.

Well QF does seem to be consistent in their multiple versions of the "RULES".
There are a number of references as to what constitutes eligible flights for calculating the threshold for the bonus.
On your status credit page - The info popup states

Eligible flights are are ones with a QF JQ 3K GK or BL flight number on the ticket.

I have sent an email to QFF asking for an explanation as
I have 230 SC (plus 25 bonus SC) on QF flights, 45 on JQ flights and 70 SC on 3K flights this membership year and the account page states I have earned 255 SC toward the loyalty bonus.

It will be educational to read their response. Hopefully I won't have to contact the FB team to get an answer......

For the purposes of the Loyalty Bonus, the Status Credits earned must be from eligible Qantas or Jetstar flights (JQ, 3K, GK and BL) within a single membership year.

What a woefully inadequate respons from QF.

There is an error since the new qf site update- and it only counts QF operated flights towards the loyalty bonus. JQ/3K SC's are not counting, despite the t&c's saying they should.

I have the same issue across 4 family members accounts, JQ only count towards status requal but not loyalty bonus...

How do we get QF to acknowledge this?!

Mrs 29 was wondering where her loyalty bonus was (currently 1120 SCs all on Qantas flights), called the WP line and was told that double SCs don't count. Has anyone heard this before or is it nonsense and she should HUACA?

There was a cutoff date earlier this year where any future DSC would no longer count towards loyalty bonus unfortunately.

However with 1120SC on QF flights, even if half were from DSC after the cutoff there would be a loyalty bonus for passing 500 SC on QF in one membership year (though presumably you got that and used it a while ago).

Thanks, that one must have slipped under the radar. Yes the 500 SC bonus came a while ago.

The February promotion this year had terms that excluded the double SC from counting.

As others here have already stated, I only just learned today that my double status credits don't count towards my loyalty bonus.

I am currently sitting on 560 points & don't get the additional 50 to retain Gold as apparently 160 of those were through promotion, meaning I only have 400 qualifying state credits. Feeling ripped off but stuck by fine print.

Unfortunately this has been the case for the last five or six DSC promos.

It's a shame that it got shut down but also not surprising - it allowed you to renew Plat (1200 SC) for as little as 550 base SC + double SC + 2 x loyalty bonuses.
