Query re qantas business class award seats

We may have to change our business class award bookings back from London and when I go online & select dates they all say one leg of the trip will be in PE or E even though I am being charged business class points. Confusing! Can anyone help please?

What help do you need, often an award booking will be hard to change as seats need to be in the same fare bucket, QF will charge the highest redemption level for the trip even if only one leg is in J.

Sorry to hear that you need to change.

I think you're facing the downside of award bookings.....unless you want to downgrade for the same point cost don't change.

Never say Never. If you have status or (unfortunately) your reason for change is a personal matter you may get a decent response.....good luck.

at least these days they show an exclamation mark and make it slightly more obvious one of the flights is in a lower class (for some reason it's always seems to be the longest sector too!)

Thanks for the luck! Managed to successfully change both wife's and self's flights by phone for a minimum number of points and even had some tax money returned.

Research is the go here. Don't take first option on anything. Plan as far out as you can as well.
