I just wanted to check - does a V saver fare classify as "discount economy" when on a long haul VA fare (eg SYD-LAX)?

I have cut what i think is the appropriate code from the "confirmation" step page from the VA sites and see this:

<a href="javascriptopFLIF('201212071245', 'SYD', 'LAX', 'VA', '1', 'Boeing 777-300ER', 'G');" class="flight va "> VA1 <span>Operated by&nbsp;Virgin Australia Intl</span>

My reading is it is "G" class fare, which does mean discount economy for status credits. Am I correct?

Fare class G earns points at 0.75 per mile flown and earns SCs at the discount economy rate.

Thanks, confirms the learning that I have gained from this site... I am picking it up!
