query dual passport travel to US

It appears there has been a change to info. required from when I travelled to US in August as the above wasn't requested on my booking online details post booking.

I am thinking I will enter my American passport details for arrival in US as requested on my qf online booking and return as usual on my Aussie p/port.

My query is when I travel @ times via UK (not this trip) on through US my thinking is that it will still ask me these details travelling in US but can I still use aussie p/port for arrival in UK?

Enter the details of the P/Port you will be using to enter and exit the USA. I have left the USA on my Aussie and entered the UK on my French. The details you are required to enter mean nothing to the carrier but are supplied to the TSA for their 'watch list'. It is only relevant for the USA. If you happen to pass through the UK first then use your Aussie there but enter the US passport for the Adv. Info Form.

I would be too concerned about traveling on two passports so long as you enter then exit the particular country with the same passport.

Just make sure you exit and re-enter Australia using your Australian passport as it will save heaps of time trying to explain you are an Austraian citizen, or have citizenship etc etc, and that's irrespective of what is written in your second passport

You don't have any choice in the matter. If you have a US passport, then you MUST use the US passport to enter the USA. And if you have an Australian passport, then you MUST use the Australian passport to enter and leave Australia. So no need to be "thinking" about what to do. The laws of the USA and Australia mandate what you have to do.

So if the trip goes via the USA, then you must advise the airline of the details of the passport that will be used to enter the USA. And if you hold a US passport then that must be your US passport.

NM is right, kind of.

As a dual citizen you should do as NM says.

However, for years I didn't and no one picked me up.

That being said, the line for locals is typically shorter
so following the rules makes logical sense as well.
