Did not know that QLD wine existed.

There are actually some good QLD wines. I remember putting a Robinson's shiraz on at a blind tasting for the Hunter Valley wine club. most thought it was from the Hunter and no one even guessed QLD. This was in the late 80s.

I saw quite a few QLD wines while at Kuranda on the weekend - mango, lychee, ginger

My favourite Qld winery is Ocean View Estates*, at Mt Mee. Their Rack-Dried Cabernet is really good in my opinion, and their Stella White Diamonds sparkling is great too. But its only available at the winery (cellar door and restaurant). Worth the drive.

just did a trip to the granite belt, really nice wines out there
