Just booked flights on QR for my honeymoon in October!

Flying the new A350 from Adelaide to Doha, connect to Budapest (which I understand is an A320?). Then return from Paris to Doha, Doha to Adelaide again on the A350.

All flights booked in Y but as someone who loves to travel, I am just happy to be on a plane and on my way to exploring a new city.

They had some great deals from Adelaide so have picked up a bargain.

Has anyone had any experience in QR Y? Advertised as 5 star airline but what you may get may be very different.

None the less, looking forward to a Euro getaway.

Only used QR for ORD-DOH-CDG in J in 2014.
Keep mixing it up with the RJ ORD-AMM-BCN I had in 2013.:oops:

Flown PER to DOH and DOH to LCA in Y.

DOH to PER was pretty full (777) in a 3-4-3 layout. Seat pitch seemed decent Has a seat free next to me. Was super tired, so slept without an issue. Y had real champagne, served in a plastic cup and a bit warm...bit when in Y, one doesn't complain about such things. Food was alright.

DOH to LCA was maybe 30% full. Shortish flight. Pleasant enough.

All in all, as far as Y goes, no complaints here.

Flew JR Y on two 1-3 hr sectors in central Asia. Couple of pics and commentary here.

I would call it pretty normal international whY. Adequate; try to get a forward seat.

I fly QR in whY a lot... Lets be honest any seat up the back is never going to be comfortable or enjoyable. I would much prefer being teleported to my destination than endure any amount of time in cattle class. I am 186cm and have quite wide shoulders, if I sit in the aisle row I get my shoulder smashed by the cart nearly every time. Any other seat and my shoulders end up a few inches into the seats next to me.. It's a joke that in this day and age the common person has to be so uncomfortable to get to their destination. The idea that flying is enjoyable at all is reserved for the smaller people amongst us who like free alcohol and those up the front.

I seem to end up with crying babies, the common seat tapper (IT IS A TOUCH SCREEN NOT A HIT SCREEN) and people who think it is appropriate to rest their feet without socks on next to my arm rest. If there was a pill I could take to knock me out and wake me up when I arrived I would be first in line. Flight attendants are no where near as professional as the ones in business - but I sympathise with them because of how some people behave that they have to deal with. Not glamorous in any way.

Speaking of QR I upgraded to business DOH>BKK on an A380.... Now that my friends is what flying is about, nothing but glowing things to be said about the whole experience. It was one of the only times I wished the flight was longer. Top class product ! Shame about economy... Apologies for the rant

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I don't mind QR in economy, however they have been enhancing their 777 fleet (and equipped their 787 fleet) with very tight seats.

Catering is a bit hit and miss. In economy, expect a decent meal, but the snack will likely be dreadful.
