QR Melbourne to Brussels - $783 Economy Return-Valid til Mar 31, Business Class $3485

I just got an email alert from zuji.com.au advising of a special Qatar Airways fare from Melbourne to Brussels for $783 (economy) and $3485 (business). I entered sample dates of 01 Mar departure returning on 24 Mar and it priced on zuji at $782.79 AI for economy. Has anyone else heard about this fare ?

That is a very cheap airfare to get to Europe.

Yeah, it's a brilliant fare. Very surprising to see, but I don't think it's a mistake airfare.

Wonder what the story is...

Methinks may be a mistake fare..as other European Qatar destinations are pricing at exactly $1000 more as promotion fares. ie about $200 off..

So I think someone has forgotten a 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Book it while you can, but also be aware that for example when AA sold Qantas F too cheaply by mistake that they may or may not honor it.....that is if is a mistake fare.

Note that it is on Qatar own site. But the booking engines may just be feeding off ts as with the AA mistake.

Just checked the QR website and same dates as Zuji come in at 793... Comes up as promotional fare...

ZUJI Australia - LOWEST RATES for Flights from Melbourne to Brussels

Very cheap. It is not a mistake fare. I got the same email also. I wonder what their J is like?

I wish I have holidays over next 2 months ....... unfortunately it is a "wish" only.

I can't see this being a mistake fare. Zuji would only advertise it once they have confirmation that it's legit. But I really can't see why the sale is on... While it could be a new route, it is at least $500 less than it should be. And the cancellation/change penalties aren't too bad either (for an unused ticket... not so much for a change after departure scenario)

Though promotional fares come up for other European destinations too...but are $1000 more.

QR business class is pretty good. Food was excellent, while entertainment was fantastic if on the right aircraft. From memory, some of the A330s weren't fitted out like the rest of their fleet, with poorer entertainment system. Cabin staff can be hit-and-miss in skill/attention. Angled flat seats with many adjustments.

I couldn't resist this fare as I have good friends in Cologne which is only a few hours on the train. Booked it through Qatar website MEL-BRU 01/03/11 - 30/03/11 for $792.55. Now to checkout how many miles I'll earn on my UA MP account.

I thought you might be correct as the fare is so low. However, I checked on united.com and it indicates that fare class W (which is the class shown on my QR itinerary) as full economy earning 100% so I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks so much! I am heading to Cologne...This is looking to be a GREAT trip at an even greater price. I have travelled on the Thalys before from Paris to Cologne (via BRU) and they are fantastic trains.

I went QR in J class MEL-LHR and I must say it was better than QF in all aspects (seat comfort, meals, entertainment, cabin crew). This fare cost about $6500 on a special. The $3,400 in J to BRU is amazing value. I am now quickly trying to think of any reason to travel to Europe before end of March. Never seen a J fare on a 5 star airline so low!
