I have an upcomming flight to the Gold Coast with four friends and am trying to work out a way to get them into the QP lounge. I have a Qantas club membeship which will get myself and one person in each way and then all together we also have 5 complimentary invitations (plus one that expired in December). This leaves us short one invite. So the question is, how is the best way to get a second guest into the QP in either Sydney (T2) or Gold Coast?

I have heard stories of families who have been allowed entry but how flexible are they with other groups?

I'd say if they're not full and you ask nicely they would let one extra through.

I don't think there's any sure way of getting in but be polite, smile and you never know you're luck. ;) The worst thing they could say is no. Worst come to worse, you could always try and talk another single QPer into taking them in as your guest.

But in my experience, they are usually flexible when it's quiet and they're not cranky.

Andyc,

If you post when you are travelling it might just fit in with someone from here who could 'guest' the extra in for you.

You never know.
