Hmm, does that mean I can't get the QFF points for all four of us on just my card? My husband doesn't have one either as we just put everything on my card.

You can not pool the points. As such each person flying will need their own separate QFF card and account.

Wow, good to know! Then I can just family transfer them to a single card when we want to redeem them?

You need to be careful with that, as you are limited to the number of transfers you are allowed to perform each year. (I think it is 1)

I think I'd only do it once before we wanted to redeem them, but I'll look into that!

With a return flight to London the site shows ~21,000 points for economy, but I don't know what a child's fare would earn? Even at a quarter of the cost, there'd still be enough points to move over (since we'd only use their account once for the flight)

~21000:- just same as you (you will have a discount economy fare)
After your trip you will need to careful about the 18 months no activity rule
Spending $31 at Woolworth with the EDR card (linked to QF freq flyer account ) solves that. Refer to post 19 above

Oh, that's great points-wise. And I'll make sure to do a shop every now and again in their name, since I can just grab those points within a year.

If you transfer all the points (from the other 3) to your QF account [within 18 months] after the trip, then you only need to use your Woolies EDR card to keep the points (4 x 21000) alive for an 18 months
Doing the transfer immediately after the trip means less chance of forgetting in the next 17.999 months

Airlines like people who points / miles expire = pure profit

You can not get an exit row with children.

Check in agent accidentally put myself and Mrs Simo and little Miss Simo in an exit row and then they had to move us around as she is under a certain age.

So I would say a pregnant lady would not be allowed in a Exit row.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

I suppose, despite the tiny number of times exit rows actually are used and those seated need to be able-bodied, that you wouldn't want two kids and a pregnant woman trying to open the emergency door and help the FAs.
