In 2012 there was a thread about stolen QFF points. Well it seems the hackers haven't gone away. At least this time Qantas informed a family member that someone had cleaned out his account - close to 200,000 points. They should be recoverable but it will involve police report, etc. Anyone else suffered?

Thanks, nlagalle for the link. I've been travelling and hadn't seen the thread.

My family member has now had points restored so it's a good news day. As he works in the IT industry he has questioned the cause of theft but no answer as yet!

someone got his login credentials? what else could it have been.

I think the question is how did they get the login credentials and how did they get them for other members as well? The good thing is that QF has done the right thing which, apparently, doesn't always happen with other loyalty programmes. A search on Google finds a lot of disgruntled loyalty club members with stolen points.
