QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Blackout dates apply to everyone.

In another P1 group a few years ago, someone posted the different fare classes required for CLPO, P1, WP, CL to request. I can't find that post now, but there was a definite difference and pecking order, which is not unexpected.
If someone could find this (or the diff between CLPO / CL / PO / WP) that would be great
Point Hacks does a good breakdown for PO / WP but not for anything CL
i know anecdotally that CL have been able to press for manual review over the weekend / overnight for imminent travel...not sure if that's the only additional unpublished benefit

When we had a CLPO in the family we always had to wait till monday for a manual review. That person had that status for over ten years so I’m not sure that that is correct.

I very much doubt that.

My understanding is that manual reviews are approved by the respective route controller, who generally only work Australian business hours.

That’s interesting. The gap between CL and P1 doesn’t appear to be material on the classic reward release.

P1 can request for Business (C*, D, I) and First (F, A), so the only incremental for CL is presumably requesting J for business

When it gets to the manual review stage you're really just at the subjective mercy of the route controller.

I'm not sure QF has to give CL anything extra to P1 - both are pretty exclusive groups to begin with. A couple of reddit threads I saw say the CL classes for release are the same as P1.

Out of curiosity is the route controller given the identity of the traveler / does that influence it?

That I don't know, but would be very certain they'd know your level (P1/CL etc) and probably internal metrics like PCV. I'm sure they could look up your profile if they really wanted to but I'm guessing they care more about the load on the flight than anything about you.

What's the * ?

I've only ever been able to request D or I class as P1...
D and F were introduced around 2018/19, prior to that is was just I & A. In the older days I had one gotten J seats released (own travel, no guests or travel partners) and I am pretty sure another in the wider group has also experienced something similar. No idea how this happened, it just did. I was never a CL member, just was a long term P1, but not any more.

P1 - requesting for cherry blossoms next year, Easter long weekend conveniently falls 26-29 March. The bot was in a good mood.

Ended up going with a 25 March departure.
