QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Does anyone get the sense that QF have dramatically tightened the screws on CR releases in recent months? Since post-covid, I've been able to secure CR releases for MEL/SYD/BNE-LAX with almost relative ease - 50-60% of my requested flights would come back approved.
However, recently I've been trying for mid-this year (flights below), and all have been rejected. Most of these have I9 in EF.
Note that this request is a move of an existing CR Release MEL-LAX return that I'm meant to fly next week, which is 2 Adults + 1 Inf. Also, I wonder if because I paid at the pre-Aug 5 rates they're denying the release (I wouldn't think so).
Keen to hear anyone elses recent experience with having MEL/SYD/BNE-LAX released for later this year, and if there's any dates they've been successful at.

Limited experience as only Plat for afew months. But have had zero success with afew requests, most recently despite Sin to Syd showing 9+ PE seats available on T class/sale fare. No transparency as to how this is decided, beyond ‘computer says no’. I don’t see wasting my time as a great perk.

It does feels that way - my success as a P1 is in fact less than as WP (as a percentage).

Was looking at MEL-NRT for early April (school holidays shoulder). Despite being both D5 and I5 availability, I couldn't get any overnight flights released (either via SYD or MEL) - only QF26. Obviously took what I could get (pre-devaluation) and thankfully a schedule change worked out in my favour, but it would seem that they think there's sufficient demand to sell the seats for cash.

This is surprising as I’ve always found USA to be the easiest in the past. My recent requests have all been knocked back as well (last couple of weeks).

Requested CR release (on Friday 16th) MEL to CDG QF33 via SYD and PER for 2 March it was declined but after a manual review , They have come back and said they can release CR J on 27th Feb QF33 SYD-PER-CDG in J.. .. (I havnt asked them yet if they can also include MEL to SYD for same points..) they know Im based in MEL and that was my original request..
