QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Nice! Personally though I'm beginning to hate QF26. Feel like it's similar to QF60 the night before in terms of what you do in Tokyo but you have to make your way to HND and spend a night there.
 
Back in 2012 just regular WP I never got denied, now it seems you need P1 for the same service.

As WP I requested 8 different options to Tokyo, all showing I5 or more and all denied by the droid.
You can definitely try again closer to the date. I've had success before much closer on relatively peak times. (In fact flight didn't even have I fare the first time I looked and months later I appeared).

Yes, that is my usual strategy. These were 40 days out, typically I can make something work in the 5-9 day range.

4/7 - BWT (or DPO) to MEL - denied

7/7 - MEL-BWT - approved.

Any advice on what to do about trying to get a CR seat released on the 4/7 BWT-MEL QF2088 - I've never had this situation before! I'm WP not P1 so can't ask for a manual review. Should I just suck it up and stump up the cash for a seat? The seats are all Y seats - no business class on the flying pencils.
Quick update - I ended up opting for a CR on the late afternoon BWT-MEL flight - the timing doesn't really suit me but 8000 points + $64 sounded a lot better than $401 for the morning flight.

Hobart agent said that tickets would be issued in about 15-20 minutes, but 5 hours later no tickets and the points haven't been deducted from my QFF account - but the fees are showing on my CC statement. I guess the tickets will show when they get around to it...

Very helpful agent managed to get the full AUS to UK return sorted by finding a BA LHR-DFW connection. I think clearly an experienced HBA based agent and she easily tacked on MEL-SYD connections in U. Amazed and very happy with the result of this one. I guess being non-peak and only 1 pax helped.

Just to be super pedantic, P is the RBD for First Class redemptions on QF, not A.

Great result as a WP though!

Can't remember the last time I had an economy domestic release approved. Always seems to be denied. Usually school hols

Much better success with business releases.

Had to get the agent to force the BNE > SYD domestic connection, but they had to request the flight despite there being classic rewards in J on the 23rd.

Despite it being an overseas call centre all booked in under 15 minutes.

QF10 LHR - PER x2 J requested from 14th - 18th Jan any day. All rejected by the robot, not possible for manual appear due to blackout period and zone.

QF2 LHR - SIN x2 F & J requested on dates instead, rejected but currently up for manual review.

Do anyone know if this has a higher chance of manual approval around these times?
F as preference but also very happy for J.
Requested on Friday, latest response could be Wednesday (72 hours turnaround time due to late Friday request when speaking with the Hobart staff)

If not an option, potentially CDG to PER on J instead (can’t see any from FCO)…

Surprised you don't already have an answer.

If you go to manage booking and enter the PNR, are all legs still "requested"?
I did call up today to check a flight I had tomorrow and queried this whilst I had them on the phone, they said they will get back to me.

Only ones that are showing is the LHR to SIN both F & J requests, got the PNR but the booking status is just the "ℹ️ -"

However, they did add what I find is a weird flight/segment on the 25th Feb for a SYD - PER in J and that has Booking Status as 'confirmed'. It is the same PNR as the requested flights for LHR - SIN. This was confirmed pretty much after sending for manual review on Friday, so I know it wasn’t done by the yield team.

I assumed this is something potentially keep the PNR but, do I need to be worried about this? Could this impact how the booking is made? No points are actually taken out of my account for this SYD-PER flight.
