QFF Gold lounge access in NY & SFO

Hi,

Looking at travelling to NY and San Francisco with wife and child (under 17).

What are peoples thoughts on the likely hood of getting the child in the lounge JFK & SFO as well as wife?

Are they really strict or can you sometimes get away with it?

You need to specify what airline you are flying with as each lounge is different.

There's no QF operated lounges in either location, but AA operated lounges have no special provision for child guests (they count the same as adult guests).

But, I always find a broad Australian accent, waving your QF gold card and says "but Qantas lets me bring them in" will often do the trick.

All QF flights and American Airlines between US cities.

JFK is T8 on both AA and QF flights - only AA lounge there

SFO is T2 for AA (AA lounge) and T-IntA for QF (Air France lounge).

AA lounges have a clear policy that children don't get free entry. I am unsure of the Air France lounge's policy.

However - you can buy a one day pass to an AA lounge for $59. You could try to get in on the Qantas policy and just pay the money if you fail.
