I have been on it for
Anyone know anything about the QFF Advisory Community?

Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it worth the hassle? Does it take much time to participate?
a while now and some good topics occasionally.....need to participate 4 times a month to earn 1K of points

cannot actually see it written in the rules but another member queries and that was the answer

There doesn't appear to be any page of member queries on Qantas Advisory Panel that I can see. Can you provide a link?

Perhaps those that were invited can see (and/or were advised) different things to those who joined up without an invite.

Most recent activity was a Domestic Booking Survey, which had a focus on what could make weekend off-peak travel more attractive.

Wonder are we talking about the same panel?

Not QAP related, but got a QFF survey with points incentive:-

We're always working to improve the Qantas Group network and an important part of this is understanding what our members think. To help us with this, we'd appreciate 15 minutes of your time to tell us how we could enhance our network so that it better suits your needs.

As a thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, you will receive 250 Qantas Points^. Ergo Strategy, an independent market research company, has been commissioned to help Qantas Frequent Flyer undertake this confidential survey.

I just received an email with another survey and mention of a competition also. I wonder if these surveys are varied depending on responses to the previous ones.

Hello,

Thank you so much for completing the domestic booking survey the other day!

We found your responses really valuable and therefore, would like to invite you to complete two more surveys over the next two weeks with the first one being in the link below.

We understand your time is precious so if you complete both survey's and the game of skill question, we would like to say thank you by entering you into a prize draw to win an exciting Qantas Merchandise Pack worth $180!

This survey builds on some of the responses you gave the other day where we talked about booking domestically for leisure and will only take 5-7mins to complete.

I am looking forward to seeing what the "game of skill" question is , :D

I got that new one too, I wonder how many prize packs they will be giving away

There was no suggestion of more than one prize, which is confirmed by the T&Cs:-

Judging of entries

9) Entries will be judged based on their originality and creativity in responding to the question of what makes up their dream holiday in 25 words or less.

10) Judging will take place at 11am on 11th December at 203 Coward Street Mascot, 2020, NSW. Judging will be conducted by the Promoter.

11) The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in determining the winning.

The prize

12) There will be one prize. The maximum total prize pool value is AU$180, based on the recommended retail value at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes.

13) The prize is a Qantas merchandise pack. It includes:
o Dreamliner Mug worth $15
o Qantas Shelta Australia Umbrella worth $50
o Qantas Freight Water bottle worth $40
o Qantas Qcatering Wine Cooler worth $30
o Qantas Qcatering cap worth $15
o Qantas T-shirt worth $30

14) Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner accept the conditions of use of that prize.

15) If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

Notification of the winner

16) The winner will be notified by email by 11th December and their name will be published in the 2018 Qantas Customer Advisory Panel Website on the 11th December.

Hardly a game of skill....But given the prize, not sure I would want to win anyway.

The survey topic about 'booklets of tickets' - well what can I say? One of the dumber ideas I would think.

Hardly a game of skill....

As I understand it, that's quite deliberate so as to avoid being classified a game of chance with attendant gambling regulation issues. Hence their explicit statement:- "Chance plays no part in determining the winning."

The survey topic about 'booklets of tickets' - well what can I say? One of the dumber ideas I would think.

I disliked the other idea more. Pay to join something that gives you discounts to fares, lounge access, baggage, etc.

Very unappealing to frequent flyers (and presumably the majority of QAP members are frequent flyers).

Agreed. Idea seemed stupid to me. Why would I need discount luggage and and lounge access as a WP? Got my allowance than I know what to do with.

They sent me the 3rd part of the survey with the 'game of skill' on Friday night at 11.46pm.

When I tried at 10am today (Monday) to do the survey, it had already expired :mad:
