I am booked on both of these for May and just noticed today that the A380 is no longer flying these routes and has been replaced by B747. Can anyone give me some information on the changes?

I was really looking forward to going on A380 for the first time!

I think it depends on what day you fly; I'm on both those flights in August/September, and Ive got the 747 for QF93 and the A380 for QF94. The A380 only does particular days.

If important can you change?

I think the A380 is only flying one day a week from Melbourne (maybe 2?)

Either change to a different date (if possible!) or hope that they've had another one delivered by then! (or that Nancy Bird Walton has a new engine and is all fixed )

I might just see what happens! B747 is nothing to complain about, always loved them :)

I will get on the A380 next year then!

I don't mind the 747 either, especially the upper deck. But the A380 is something else ... and if are flying in J or F, it's awesome!

I don't mind, I'm on QF 94 next month which at time of booking was A380, I don't particularly notice difference between Skybed Mark I and II, I slide downwards on both

We are also booked on QF93/94 in mid-May and were disappointed to see the change of aircraft. I made a point of checking schedules when booking to make sure it was an A380. Having flown in J class for work SYD-LAX rtn last year on the big bird the aircraft was a deciding factor in making a leisure booking in PE this year. As a QF Platinum member I was also lucky enough to get the seat selection I wanted. However with the change of aircraft this is no longer as good with seatguru advising that the extra leg room we would have enjoyed in row 34 now cramped with a 747 bulkhead. I tried to change to a dat when the A380 was flying but can't get my preferred seats. Have written to Qantas and await a response...
