QF73 to SFO

Am flying QF73 to SFO from SYD in J on 2 April. This flight is normally 4 class seat map without first class being sold, hence F seats go to WP and CL members.

I was allocated 12A. I cannot see the first section online (rows 1-4).

I rang Platinum number and they couldn't help either. Any idea of what is going on? I have never had a problem of getting the First seats before on this route.

Looks like rows 1-4 are allocated to First class at this stage (news to me too).

Can't seem to buy a F ticket SYD-SFO on QF.com, and I've not heard about them opening up F on that route, so I'd say it's either an error or done intentionally for another mysterious reason.

Keep an eye on it....

Or they are keeping it closed until there's enough bookings to require the seating (to allow better cabin crew arrangments - ie. no need have FA staff based in Zone A unless there's pax there?)

All QF73/QF74 flights around that date are showing F0 A0

E/F returns seat maps for First Class in Zone A.

I did see 2 seats pre-allocated on one day in late March.
