QF51 operated by VH-OEI turned back enroute to Singapore and landed back in Brisbane an hour after take off.

VH-OJL positioned from Sydney to Brisbane to operate the flight some 8 hours late. Does anyone know what happened to the aircraft that resulted in it turning back?

Just any one of many possible scenarios.. :?:

Wtf? Iirc the unions mandated maintenance of 747s in Australia. Why blame overseas maintenance when the Australian unionised workforce will screw up just as much, if not more.

And not just that... any plane which has a minor malfunction is straight away the result of overseas maintenance. Anyone would think steve purvinas now posts on aff.. that's certainly the line the union spins at every opportunity.

I don't know, how much would they save on a 50 cent filter?
