Hello,

I've booked a flight in business for the 11th of November LHR > SYD, specifically with the A380 experience in mind. My travel agent just informed me that this service will be swapped to the Longreach 747 ?!

When I consult the timetables, I can indeed see the 747 listed instead of the A380. But the A380 implementation schedule still mentions services on ALL days except FRI/SAT. ??

Is this an error ? Or can changes still occur ?

I am taking this flight also (QF 32) but not on your date. When are they implementing these changes? I booked the A380 specifically because I wanted laptop power in economy. Hmm...

Unfortunatly no error, from time to time it is necessary to subsitute aircraft types for various reasons. It may still change back between now and when you fly, however if you want the A380 experience I would be looking at other options at this stage.

Have you investigated how easy it may be to change to a 388 operated flight?

That may be an option if you really wish to fly the bird.

I suppose I could leave a day earlier (10th Nov. -still A380) but I used a promo which bookings probably may not be changed. I'll check with Qantas offices tomorrow ...

Would be a shame though if I went through all the trouble and see "the 11th" change back to the A380 :)

Guess what, I changed my flight to Nov 10th ... just to be on the A380.
So ironic that the whole fleet is grounded now ... :-|
Oh well, safety comes first ...
