Hi all

On QF31 tomorrow 17th July through to LHR and have requested an upgrade to business. Hope I'm not wasting my points, several weeks back flew Sin-Syd on the 380 and economy had about 50 pax.
Any ideas of the chances of this upgrade and any seat suggestions... 24a/k?

Cheers

The flight does not appear on Class Availability which could indicate that the flight is extremely full.

On second thoughts it looks like the SIN-LHR sector is extremely full. Not sure of your chances of an upgrade through to LHR. Your upgrade request may or may not allready been taken into consideration.

ExpertFlyer showing:

SYD-LHR QF31 17/07/09
R9 F6 A3 J5 C5 D5 I5 W9 T9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 VC S9 NC Q9 O9 XC E0

Seems to be plenty of seats available...

Edit: as for seat suggestions, just about everything in J is already allocated. I count ~10 unallocated/blocked seats. I suspect they are blocked for pending upgrades, if not sold in the next few hours. 24 b/j/k still showing as "blocked" (rather than allocated). Additionally there are two seats in the forward mini-cabin free (12F/13E)

Edit2: Not sure why you think you'd be wasting your points. Flying in J for a long flight like SYD-LHR is much better than Y :-) Your points would only be taken if you get the upgrade. Unsure what your status is, but upgrade requests processed in order of status then by time of request.

Thanks guys. I have checked seatcounter but from past experience it seems to bear no resemblance to actual loading unless it is updated at the final hour.
If y is not very full and I have a chance of claiming a row that's when I feel like Ive wasted the points.

Maybe but in my experience the changes of those flights being so lightly loaded is unusual, even with the current problems loads in Y seems to be holding up well, they just sell as many as they can.

The upgrade came through so all good. Has anyone here had experience with the accuracy of seatcounter or can give me some insight to how it is updated and when?

Cheers
