We are flying QF3 SYD-HNL in April. I currently have seats 24 DEF selected for the three of us. Can anyone advise if the left armrest of seat 24F does or does not move? Is the tray table in the right arm rest or left?
We flew this three years ago, and am expecting the same plane :)(). I decided to nab row 24 due to 24F having the extra leg room with no 23F, but if the left arm rest, from the perspective of someone sitting in the seat, is immovable, then that won't help Little Miss spread out and sleep while she bemoans the lack of skybed of any mark. ;) And hopefully Katie & Mrs Katie sleep off the champers from the Flounging ....

Bump ... can anyone tell me what the deal is with the armrest in 24F?

Goodness, it's so long since I travelled in that seat that It's hard to remember.

I do believe the centre armrests do lift up with the try table stored on the right hand aisle armrest but cannot be sure.

This photo show the tip of the armrest between 24D&E on the far left:

I am currently scheduled for J in one (single A seat) next Saturday. I'll TRY to remember to check 24F (if there's no equipment swap).

Thanks serfty (if you remember)! We were in about row 27 or 28 last time, and that worked fairly well. Hoping our points upgrade comes through, but not holding my breath, of course.
If the left armrest doesn't move, I'll move us back to row 25 or 26 asap.

They fly that version domestically and my call is they are fixed being the lead row.

Actually row 24 on the 'international' 763'a is not the lead row. It's in the second row of economy, but 24F is coveted due to there being no 23F.

Posted on a wing & a prayer

The left arm rest of 24 F moves, the tray table is in the right armrest, i was in 24F on QF3 last wednesday with my little miss across D and E.

I would take it if you can, its the best option for a 1plus year old.
)
Now if i could just get the bassinett for the 3 month old as well i would be a happy man (narky email sent to Qantas already about giving the bassinett to a 12 month old who could barely fit in it... thankfully my wife and bub also had a spare seat next to them in 25 E/F

Thank you, bsymons! I'll stick with those seats & won't risk putting myself in another row for plat shadow. I remember sleeping OK in about row 27 last time, but it was after three days of cleaning up our house post-flood. We even had a nap on the day of arrival in HNL, and it didn't kill us with jet lag. Finally realised our tiredness was physical & emotional exhaustion, rather than jet lag for the 4hr time difference. :p
