Can someone please confirm the aircraft configuration for me. I am seriously hoping the little "prang" that recently happened at AVV between a couple of QF747s has given me an aircraft with no Y+ seats  even though I appear to have paid for one......

I can't access the reservation on AA and the TA reservation seems to now read "discount business"

Oh yes because I have US funds available for travel I decided to have a go for EXP..... since the AU$ made the LLONE4 relatively cheap.

Wandering again and sooner than I thought.
Oh yes it includes the connections for a certain do in BNE in Feb.....

Hi WF!

QF29 MEL-LHR on 28NOV08 is currently showing as being operated by 747-400 VH-OEB (14F/66J/265Y). As you may be aware, this aircraft is NOT fitted with Premium Economy.

Aircraft configurations can change on a day-to-day basis so I wouldn't be surprised if the operating aircraft changes between now and the day of departure.

Cheers :)

Thanks for that. I can always hope that a further substitution is NOT made between now and then.

I did call AA and they confirmed that the record does now show I class MEL-LHR. However, they did also say that the TA (you got to be kidding really:shock:) needs to contact the AA Platinum desk in Oz and request the mileage upgrade for my ORD-NRT sector....... Perhaps it would be better to simply wait until I hit the USA and can feel safer about transferring the entire reservation to AA control.

Expert Flyer is showing a Pacific Configuration Seat Map - this concurs with Wunala Dreaming's post.

Note that most J seats are pre-allocated with 15 of 66 showing available - mainly exits and bulkheads.

The 'other" aircraft involved in the AVV bingle was VH-OJM which is a 4-class config. So yes, QF is now down two 4-class birds for a while.
