There is a video taken by a passenger here. Warning - there is some very colourful language.
Qantas flight 21 from Melbourne to Dallas-Fort Worth diverted to Tahiti on Friday to remove a passenger who bit a flight attendant. The Boeing 787-9 wound up arriving in Dallas 3 hours and 23 minutes late.
One passenger on board the aircraft even says that the disruptive man, a New Zealander, was restrained and “sedatives were administered” but those “and didn’t have an effect.” An ACARS message to the coughpit confirms the biting story, and that passengers helped take down the man.

Tahiti isn’t that far. Some start slamming it down at the airport, as if it was banned in AusWow, good find. That's an understatement. Most Australian air rage ever. F%&^%%^ C%$*^$##!! Classy stuff.
More seriously though, how was he allowed to get so insanely drunk?
Unless he's cracked open his duty free Jim Beam on the sly, the alcohol would have been served to him by the crew. Either way, you have to question how it got to that point without being picked up by crew or reported by fellow PAX..
In any case, I suspect he's up for a life ban from QF. Air Tahiti probably unlikely to want him either.
How long does it take to get from Tahiti to Melbourne on a container ship?
