Moreover people are getting more aggressive after Covid, which I think some gentle reminders will help.
May have been intoxicated but the cabin altitude may have been the last strawIf they showed no signs of intoxication at boarding, what happened?
Could be prescription pills tooit is not uncommon for passengers to mix alcohol and drugs
What does Singapore got to do with this?I thought having drugs on flight to Singapore will land yourself killed?

But what has Singapore got to do with this flight?Drugs in Singapore
Nothing, just saying and I suppose catching international flight intoxicated with drugs and alcohol together, even if not lead to bad behaviour on the flight, would still land you to trouble at customs upon arrival (unless it is your own country). But what has Singapore got to do with this flight?

In the video one of the pax screen shows time remaining 10h56. The normal flight time is about 16 hours, so the incident happened about 5 hours in.The flight time to tahiti from MEL, and according to FR24, was 7 hours and 14 mins.
Not sure at what point the decision was made to divert?
But the question that comes to mind is how was the passenger allegedly that intoxicated that long into the flight?
If it was a carry-over prior to embarkation, they shouldn’t have been allowed to board.

Well spotted! In the video one of the pax screen shows time remaining 10h56. The normal flight time is about 16 hours, so the incident happened about 5 hours in.
There is info on the Facebook post from the person who uplifted the video that this all kicked off when the pax in front of him reclined their seat, waking him up and then he got that pax in a chokehold.
If that’s true he may well have boarded the flight extremely intoxicated seemingly unnoticed by anyone.
