    G'Day mono1geek,

VH-OJA (oldest 747-400 in the fleet) should be operating tomorrow's QF 175 BNE-LAX. Unfortunately the aircraft is not fitted with AVOD, although with the current problems with the system, this is probably a good thing.

    Regards

    No worries...

I'm almost certain VH-OJA will be operating QF 175 tomorrow. Although, in this situation I am using information contained within an aircraft log which is susceptible to errors....

The log has VH-OJA departing LAX on WED 14th June, which would mean arrival into BNE today (16th June). As there is no need for the 747-400 to fly to SYD for maintenance, it simply is cleaned, refuelled and checked (in BNE) and turned-around to operate the return service to LAX (in this case, the flight you’re requesting information about; QF 175).

I guess we'll know for sure later today ;)

    Regards

Not surprisingly, the information which suggested -OJA would operate the flight was incorrect...

VH-OJI is actually operating today's QF 175 BNE-LAX. This aircraft has AVOD.

Hey Wunala Dreaming, can you shed any light on which plane will operate QF176 from LAX to BNE tomorrow (Sat 17th LAX time) ...

VH-OJI has been on the BNE LAX run for sometime now.

    cheers

I had VH-OJU for QF30 last week, which has AVOD. And it worked 100% perfect for the flight. The FA commented that it is much more reliable on the 744 after RC fixed many of the bugs in the earlier rollout on the A330.

There is a great possibility that if AVOD is not working on your flight then you won't be watching much telly but rather twiddling your thumbs and cursing!

  14. Well im not going until sep 30, hopefully that have fixed most of there problems by then or I along with many other will be extreemly upset

    Hi

On a similar note: can anyone tell me if AVOD is used on 7 Jul 06 Sydney - London QF031 route as yet?

Also, when do Qantas update their inflight entertainment section on their website to show what movies will be being played for July? Currently you can only look at June.....trying to avoid seing any movies that'll be on the flight ;)

    Cheers

I had no idea the people here could tell which planes would be flying which flights!

Since folks are asking, may I ask about the 747 flying QF1 SYD to LHR on 18 July this year? I'll be on that for my first ever trip using FF points. The return journey is on QF10 to MEL leaving London on 30 July.

Ashton and Philip76, those dates are too far off. QF will have not released the aircraft rotation schedules yet.

well seeing i finially have internet, it was VH-OJI with AVO(i)D on board, they had to reboot the whole system and i lost my movie :(
i must say however... british airways was nowhere near as good as QF. it was more AVDF(during flight, no on demand, lol)
